Smartdance 145 – File Copier

The SmartDancer File Copier is designed to be used with SmartDancer ANIMESH and SmartDancer POSEBALLS.   Avatars sit on our special SmartDancer poseballs.

SmartDancer File Copier was created to make full and partial updates easier to handle.

If there is an update to the SmartDancer Controller, you will get a full new SmartDancer Controller with updated scripts and notecards.

The only difference in contents between an ANIMESH and a POSEBALL is that the POSEBALL has one EXTRA script called ArtistePoseBallSit

The description field controls with animesh and/or poseballs whill be updated.  You can specify A-R for ALL or J-R for a subset of 9 or A-I.

You might be using A-I for normal Artiste Performance HUD duties and saving J-R for SmartDancer, in which case you would specify J-R in the description field of the SmartDancer File Copier.

CopyAnims

This is the button/feature you will likely use most often.  By restricting yourself to only using copyable animations, you can easily copy animations that you have places into your SmartDancer FileCopier into ALL of the animesh/poseballs whose names are:
ArtistePalette_01_?  where ? = the letters in the range of the letters you placed in the SmartDancer FileCopier description field.

1 – Animations that are NOT copyable will not be copied

2 – Animations that are already there (in animesh/poseball) will NOT have another animation of the same name copied that often creates a rename animation like:   Dance 1 1, assuming there is an animation called Dance 1 already there

CopyScripts

This feature copies all scripts inside the SmartDancer FileCopier that DO NOT begin with *AA_.

Be sure to copy the notecard called *smartdancer and *filemanager notecards into all Animesh and Poseballse BEFORE you copy scripts, if there is  not one already there. This will avoid needless error messages.  For first time installation/creation of workable animesh/poseballs, know that animations will not copy unless there is the Filemanager script and *filemanager nc inside.

The SmartDancer FileCopier tells the animesh/poseball to DELETE existing scripts that match scripts that are to be copied before it copies the new script.

You can use the handy CopyNotes button/feature on the SmartDancer FileCopier.  Be aware that it will copy ALL notecards that are inside so only have what you want copied inside.

1 – Scripts that are NOT copyable will not be copied.

You will need to RESET your SmartDancer Controller after new scripts are copied to Animesh/Poseballs.
This will properly reset the Animesh and Poseballs and initialize them ready for use.

This will copy ALL notecards inside the SmartDancer FileCopier to the Animesh/Poseballs with inside

KillMyAnims

This feature will DELETE all animations inside the SmartDancer FileCopier.  This prepares it to load in one or more NEW animations for copying.

These might be handy for cleaning up new mesh that come with scripts and/or animation

Notecard configuration

After files are copied into animesh/poseballs then its time
to configure them prior to resetting the SmartDancer Controller.
